TO LIVE A CREATIVE LIFE, WE MUST LOSE OUR FEAR OF BEING WRONG.
– JOSEPH CHILTON PEARCE
I believe in your dreams (no matter how big or small) because I know you can make them happen. It may not always turn out how you imagined but most of the time (if you’re open to it), it’ll turn out better than ever. How do I know? Because I’ve experienced this over and over again throughout my life.
It starts with planting the seed, an idea, and allowing that seed to grow and blossom by nurturing it and encouraging it to grow.
Some of the seeds I planted that I was able to manifest over the years include:
- moving to Colorado.
- convincing my company to let me telecommute back in 1995 (during the dial-up days) so I could move out of town.
- convincing a different company to let me telecommute so I could move to Chicago (four hours away).
- marrying the man of my dreams.
- living on Lake Michigan.
- living in Saugatuck, Michigan.
Of course I’ve had (and have) my share of struggles, heartbreak, stress and frustration but over the years I’ve been able to tolerate more and shift my mindset quicker, basically rebounding quicker and not taking things as seriously. Part of this is due to my extensive coaching training but the bulk of my progress has been due to my personal spiritual development, one of the reasons I started offering spiritual direction coaching.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked one on one with my own spiritual direction counselor (once a month) to strengthen my relationship with myself and my divine. I also studied new thought spirituality for over 10 years with Unity of Chicago and the Bodhi Spiritual Center, studying under Rev. Erica Trantham and Rev. Mark Anthony Lord. It’s now my time to share my knowledge and experience with you.
ALL MY PROJECTS
I’ve tried over the years to focus on only one (or two) projects at a time but have finally given into my need and desire to have multiple projects going on at once. I try to keep them (somewhat) separated but here’s where you can find what else I’m up to.
I created the Illuminations Boutique as a way to create an online space where spiritual oriented entrepreneurs can share their products and services with like-minded people.
I love taking photos. Over the years I’ve sold them online and at art fairs. You can find my photography at the following:
I love creating calendars and planners. Since I’ve been doing this for myself, I decided to share them with others. You can find them on this site in my marketplace as well as on my Etsy shop.
As you can probably tell by now, I love creating things. Part of this spark started about 25 years ago when I started exploring the wondrous world of graphic design. Since then I’ve designed magazines, logos, brochures, business cards, annual reports, print and email newsletters, websites, calendars, planners and books. I’m currently accepting a limited number of new web design clients. Schedule your no-cost initial web development call with me to get started.
NICE THINGS PEOPLE ARE SAYING
Laura provides practical, empowering, and realistic suggestions to enhance one’s life and relationships. She personalizes her advise to each client’s needs. She is creative, inspiring, and comforting. Also, she helps me get to the answers myself so that I am more likely to utilize new skills and techniques so I can help myself. How empowering!
I had an insightful session. Thank you Laura. You opened my record and found a lot of interesting information for me that I will use as inspiration and guidance this fall. I won your session in a raffle and it was a great reminder how important it is to listen to the small nudges the universe is giving us to help us along. I did not think about opening my records but with your loving guidance and the universe picking YOU for me, it all happened in perfect synchronicity. Thank you for all the AHA experiences you provided. I am very grateful.
My life coach, Laura, has helped me to formulate my goals, focus on my passions, and motivate me into action. In my personal and work relations, she has allowed me to verbalize my frustrations and helped me develop tools to cope with situations and, as a result, I feel empowered to handle problems as they arise.
Having a life coach has shown me how to develop skills to handle myself and problems in a professional and competent way.
We have worked together as life coach and client for 18 months. The skills I have developed in that time have resulted in accomplishing a long awaited Associates Degree, pursuing a passion to design gardens for municipalities, and battled and won a bout with cancer.
I believe without having a life coach working with me, I would not have grown to where I am now. In the past, I felt stuck and unable to really change my situation. As a wife and mother, I felt my life was of service to my family, who I value and who are a very important part of my life. Laura has encouraged me to set my sights on what I want for myself. Perhaps my family may benefit even more by observing my changes. My hope is that they will view me as a woman who has firmly set her values and formulated her goals. For myself, I am living up to my expectations. Thank you, Laura.
It has been so GREAT to work with Laura on my deep seated relationship blockers. In the last four months, I have shifted from being present to the ‘man being missing from life’ to living a life in the present moment, trusting in the big scheme of things and God’s plan and knowing that when and if it is supposed to happen it will! Until then I am enjoying the ride.
It is truly such a miracle for me because I have always felt something was missing even when I was with a man. Thank you to Laura for her steady and powerful coaching….I really have appreciated it and would recommend a sample session to try her out to anyone who is serious about shifting their perspectives and lives with regards to relationships!
What I got most from the reading was insight on how to handle a situation that had been unfolding for a few months. It helped me to realize something that I had been overlooking in what I was doing. I immediately applied my realization to some work I was doing that same afternoon and saw got some long, sought after results.
I went out to Oval Beach today to get out of the house and take a few pics around town with my Canon. It's been a while since I've taken it out like this and I really missed it. It's great to take pictures on my phone (and I do take A LOT of them!!) but there's...
I wasn't sure exactly where this art journal layout was going to go when I started but I love allowing things to flow. I started out with hot pink because I was feeling a bit sassy and lit up--like I wanted something that matched my mood. I also had an inclination...
One of the things I love about art journaling is how things unfold naturally. I sat down this evening, the eve before New Year's Eve, wanting to create a spread in my little manifestation art journal. I love using these smaller journals because they're quicker to...
I haven’t written in a while because I’ve been too busy art journaling (and writing a new novel). I hosted a creativity/artist retreat last weekend (my first one) and plan to blog about that, too. But today besides writing over 2000 words of my new novel...
This evening I decided to do an art journal spread based on forgiveness. We discussed the power of forgiveness in my manifestation class on Monday and I wanted to do something that reflected that class and what I learned. I’ve been a big believer in forgiveness for...
I worked in my little manifestation art journal this week (5.25 x 8). The assignment in my manifestation class was to write down all our negative thoughts (like I’m not good enough) and flip them around (to I’m good enough). It’s interesting because I did a similar...
