I don’t know about you but I don’t like feeling stuck and confused.

I have spent a long time feeling frustrated, confused and like I wasn’t getting anywhere despite doing a huge amount of work. I felt lost and defeated. And I seriously didn’t want to feel that way anymore.

Can you relate?

Or you may want have an idea of what you want, like a new relationship or a different career, but haven’t been able to manifest it in your life. You know there must be a better way than what’s happening now but you’re not sure how to make it happen.

What you’re missing and what I had been missing for years is a vision. Without a vision for your life, it’s like stumbling around in the dark, blind to your potential and unable to create or find the life you want.

I have been doing vision work for over the past ten years and can tell you it works. Once you get clear about what you want, it is so much easier to make it a reality. It’s like a light goes on in the fog. You can finally see a way.

Here is what having a vision can do for you:

1. It creates direction.
It’s like being handed a roadmap. You now know which direction to go in life to achieve your dreams. The journey may be difficult but at least you know you’re headed where you want to go and are moving in the right direction. How amazing is that?

2. It creates momentum.
It gets you moving. Once you know where you want to go, it’s so much easier to get started moving that way. In fact, you can’t wait to get started. Obstacles that once seemed insurmountable become mere challenges that need to be worked through. Move out of the way, baby, because here I come.

3. It gives you a clear purpose.
You now know why you’re doing what you’re doing. You have purpose. And purpose is powerful. It’s what keeps you going even when times are tough. It slices through the fears, doubts and apprehensions, leaving you feeling confident and powerful and unstoppable.

4. It creates the life you want.
Yes – you can have the life you want. Having a clear vision helps make it a reality. It allows you to create action plans and strategies to help you get there. It washes away confusion and doubt, two of the biggest blocks to having what you want.

Sounds great, right? You can create a vision for yourself by getting clear about what you want for your life.

Ask yourself:
What do I want my life to look like?
Where do I want to live?
How do I want to share my unique talents and gifts?
Who do I want in my life and how do I want them involved with me?
What would I do if I could do anything?
What makes me most excited?

Write it down. Not only will it help you to remember your vision for your life, it will also act as a reminder. It’s something you can reference again and again, especially when you feel like you’ve gotten off track and/or the confusion creeps back in.
